Philosophy
When planning activities and constructing the classroom space, our teaching team considers the research of Montessori and Piaget, who feel that "play is important and play is the child's work." Our teaching team uses a play-based curriculum that gives children ample opportunities to practice skills and attain appropriate goals within all developmental domains.

Curriculum
The fun yet rigorous educational programs at The Learning Place Preschool were created with our children’s needs in mind. Our teachers pay close attention to your child's interests and learning style to set individualized curriculum goals. The teachers use the RI Early Learning Standards, ongoing authentic assessment and daily observations to monitor each child's growth and development and set goals for continued learning.

"Attending the Preschool and Pre-K program at The Learning Place was a great experience and one that I cherish. My time here prepared me academically, socially and personally for the future. I was always taught at my individual level and encouraged to embrace my creativity and think outside the box. I was not pushed too far or held back. I learned to be proud of each personal success which gave me the confidence to be successful as an adult." Alison - LPA graduate
